Crush/Love

How to differentiate between crush and love?

Asked one of my best buddies and she told me that she doesn't know either, despite the fact that she is very much in love now.

She said the feelings would get deeper and deeper as time goes on.

Hah, I wish the line between love and crush is clear cut, so that I won't end up being confused.

When he goes online, my hand is itching to change my status to "available"... just so that he would realise that I am here... hoping that he would chat with me.

Nah. I pull my hand away. I know it is impossible. And that it is just a crush that would eventually melt away.

Better to focus my energy on something more substantial (like preparation for final exams!), instead on harping on "what ifs".

  1. well. i don't know. but each time i switch on msn, the first thing i do is scroll and search for his name.

each time i blog i wonder if he reads it.

each time i think about him (which will be about a million times a day i think) i'm tempted to msg him.

and well, it's not all sweet. falling in love comes hand in hand with falling in jealousy

*shrug* it simply is. there is no distinction. and even love fades, like crushes. except that in love, you try hard to keep in alive, instead of wishing that it will go away.

i think that's the only way i can distinguish between love/crush...

  4. Having been the "relationships counsellor" for quite a few friends, I've learnt that crush can seem like love at first; the person just seems perfect to you in every way and you wanna spend every single moment in contact with them. And they can faded away too...Love, however, is when you know the person inside out and still love them the way they are; oh, and you're probably willing to sacrifice for them too (which includes letting them go)..

    Personally though, I don't know....lol....no experience.....

  9. lolz. but love needs to be nurtured too. too many people believe "if it's love, then it will be, no need effort also it'll last forever and never fade"

it's kinda crap actually. coz if you can love your family and God and your stuff and love one book one day and love another book another day why won't feelings of love towards your significant other change?

love is just a word i think. so long you know that you really have feelings for the person, are happy with the person, care and wiling to sacrifice (at least a lil' bit) for the person because you want the best for him/her, and have those aforementioned stuff reciprocated, then it's love.

=) and you won't know if it is until you test it XD
